What is Kinepathics ( kin-a-path-iks)
(moving with feeling)
...comes
from the Greek words kinesis meaning bodily movement and pathos
meaning feeling, disease.
Founded
by dance movement artist/therapist, yoga teacher, tantra instructor,
life/relationship coach and psychologist Anita De Francesco in 1998;
kinepathics is a flow system grounded in yoga fused with somatic
dance movement, and breath techniques. It is a system designed to
explore the maximum potential of the body, mind and emotions. When
this is achieved the student then is able to have a connection to
the senses; the brains messaging system. This allows for an alignment
of ones thoughts, feelings and actions (thoughted motion).
The
focus of kinepathics is not on aesthetics but rather on feeling,
and transformation. The emphasis is on proprioception, alignment,
core stimulation, commitment, body containment, relationship and
motivation. The kinepathics method is for anyone who wants to explore
the spectrum of the senses and bodily awareness. It has both medical
and psychological benefits. Kinepathics teaches you how to regain
mastery over your body, mind and emotions and heal through your own
natural powers.
It
is a fast and easy discipline of getting your body to respond to
your minds needs. Kinepathics was born out of truth, desire and
passion. The method prepares the body from the inside out for physical
conditioning, life containment and the medically intended result.
The
kinepathics philosophy believes that one must develop from the true
wisdom of the self which is best expressed and developed through
an integration of stillness, energy, and emotion. Yoga ( stillness
) Breath (energy) Somatic Dance Movement (emotion).
To
do Kinepathics is to strive for the truth, to continually become
a better person, to seek out your desires and to contribute to life
your share. It is a study of the self, a teaching of ones inner
beliefs.
