When I was just 9 years of age I came down with rheumatic heart disease which put me in a hospital bed for over 6 months. I was confined to this crib like bed with high bars on both sides without any life privileges. With fevers of 105, there were numerous nights when they soaked me in ice tubs. I lived in between reality and hallucinatory states of mind. Going in-between the hot and cold was a beginning step into cultivating my inner wisdom. I healed myself because I became consciously aware of my body, mind and emotions. With this consciousness anyone can heal themselves from anything. I wanted so much to get out of the bed but I wasn’t allowed to, not even to go to the bathroom. I became so frustrated at times, wanting to let go of control from the confined bed that I began to move my body from its own innate intelligence, in ways I never moved before. I was in so much physical and emotional pain that I began to undulate my joints and spine because the state of awareness that I cultivated encouraged me to. This wave motion kept me in contact with who I was thus giving me the “gift of life”. It was here that Kinepathics was born.

Kinepathics is infuenced by the experience and wisdom of other traditions such as: Kundalini Yoga, Traditional Yoga, Continuum Movement, Dance Therapy, Tantra Wisdom, Dr. Lowen's Bioenergetics and Pilates.
